Belle Vue Infant and Newport Junior Schools were federated in March 2006. This means that they share one governing body and one Headteacher, but they still retain their unique identities as schools.
Many exciting opportunities have been created by both schools working together more closely. We can provide better continuity for the children as they progress from Belle Vue to Newport. Teachers and support staff are able to work closely together to plan the curriculum from YR to Y6 and to ensure that all children have full access to high quality teaching and learning experiences. We can develop home-school and community links to make sure we are serving the needs of all our families and keeping them fully informed.
At both schools there is a strong focus on school improvement. We believe that children learn best through first-hand experience and our curriculum is designed with this in mind so that pupils are stimulated and motivated to learn. Children are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their learning, which promotes confidence and independence.
We have high expectations of our pupils and promote the highest standards of behaviour, based on strong moral values and a respect for others in our community.
We look forward to working with you so that you can support your children on their road to success. This website aims to give you general information about the school, but if you would like to see the school in action then please make an appointment to visit us. We look forward to meeting you.
